The role and You:
Honest Burgers encompasses 39 restaurants across England with 32 of these located in London’s Zones 1-3. We have nearly 15 years’ experience in the hospitality industry and pride ourselves on our hospitality and offering the best burgers to be found in this country.
As the Maintenance Manager you will oversee and prioritise management of both planned and reactive maintenance across the estate.
This will include all restaurant services, such as pest control, waste management and cleaning as well as the buildings themselves and the equipment required to keep the restaurants running at optimum trading capacity.
Taking the lead in maintaining safe and compliant workspaces for our teams across the business.
Areas of responsibility:
Overseeing the day-to-day management of reactive maintenance issues and ensuring a wider maintenance strategy is put in place to minimise costs incurred by call outs.
Supporting the restaurants with troubleshooting maintenance issues and ensuring effective diagnosis of breakdowns and timely repair of equipment to maximise availability.
First point of contact for contractors, maintaining good working relationships and holding them to account against their KPIs and holding regular update meetings with key strategic partners to ensure optimum efficiency and quality.
Project managing large scale maintenance works and allow effective resolution within a planned timescale whilst minimising effects on the sites ability to trade.
Acting as final approver for capital works and purchases, managing the CAPEX budget to meet the annual allowance and taking accountability in P&L reviews for all works across the estate.
Acting as the sole administrator of our CAFM system, using this platform to approve requests and schedule resolutions – a working knowledge of an industry recognised CAFM platform is required.
It is not required that you will perform maintenance tasks this is a management role, relying on strong organisational and communication skills to ensure contractors fulfil the business needs.
About You:
It is desirable that you have experience in managing the maintenance needs for a group of restaurants – other backgrounds of multi-site management would be considered but an appreciation of the challenges faced by our sector is essential.
High levels of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity. You need to be highly organised and process driven – confident on delivery of a maintenance projects in a timely manner.
Must be self-motivated, proactive, driving continuous improvement, for yourself and others – recognising best practice and implementing projects to ensure this is followed in sites.
You should have effective communication skills and the ability to build a positive rapport and develop a positive working relationship with the team around you.
